Mr. Duruoz greatly enjoyed his concert, and was also impressed by the attitude of the people. “It’s from the pyramids, but people like to enjoy themselves, they walk around at night, which I always liked from my hometown in Ankar [in Turkey]. But I missed it in most places in the US… So I was happy to see this European feel, where people get out, walk around, stroll at night, get some drinks by the river.”
Today, Mr. Duruoz walked to some sites on the pyramids, meeting with head archaeologist Silvana ?obanov. He said, “The pyramids are very interesting, it’s fascinating to see the digs, the definitely man-made structures, to see what the mystery is.”
“It’s always good to have a national icon and national pride, so in a way this could be one of those things for Bosnia.”
It also appears that Mr. Duruoz would like to return to Visoko. “[The plateau on the Pyramid of the Sun] would be a fascinating place to do concerts, with the set-up like an ampitheater. Regardless of the results that come about, as to when it was made or the nature of the structure… I think it would be a perfect place for an art venue.”
