During the Second International Scientific Conference on Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids (ICBP 2011) all participants created relaxed and constructive atmosphere. Lot of contacts and synergy resulted.
Second International Scientific Conference on Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids was opened on September 7th, 2011 in Visoko. In front of 250 speakers, guests, visitors and media, prime minster of Zenica-Doboj Canton Mr. Fikret Pljevljak greeted everyone wishing successfull work. He was sponsor of the Conference together with the Mayor of the Visoko Mr. Munib Alibegovic. Welcome speach was delivered by Pakistani ambassador in Bosnia-Hezegovina Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery and founder of the „Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun“ Foundation dr. Sam Semir Osmanagich.
Volunteers and professionals of the “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation discovered another chamber in Underground Labyrinth “Ravne” in September 2011. Chamber is located 90 meters from the entrance to the Labyrinth. Its height is 2.20 m and contains five smaller side tunnels 20-50 cm high, sealed with the drywalls. It does have one large entrance over 2 meters in height, also sealed with the fill in material. There is a large sandstone plate In the middle of the chamber
This chamber is protected now and no further work will be performed. Everything is left the way it was originally found.
First International Scientific Conference on Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids (ICBP 2008) was held August 25-31, 2008 in Sarajevo and Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Fifty five participants from 13 countries concluded that “Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids was an archaeological location.”
ICBP 2011 will aim to answer what was the purpose of the Bosnian Pyramid complex and Underground Labyrinth Ravne.
International Summer Camp for Volunteers has had seven two-week shifts this season (June-September, 2011). They came from 32 countries and six continents.
During the last shift (August 28 – September 11) volunteers were working on Bosnian Pyramid of the Suun and Underground Labyrinth “Ravne”. They came from the following countries: Brazil, Estonia, United States, Canada, Denmark, Norway, United Kingdom, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The most watched documentary TV channel in the world “National Geographic” came again to the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. British producers were filming the story for the popular “Ancient X-files”. They brought two skeptics with them (an archaeologist and geologist) who checked main locations with the principal investigator dr. Sam Osmanagich.
This was another chance to promote the project and Bosnia as a research and touristic destination.
Volunteers of the Seventh shift of the International Summer Camp for Volunteers “Bosnian Pyramids 2011” stayed busy working on northern section of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun.
They were removing dirt layers 12.000 years old exposing concrete blocks that cover the largest pyramid on the world.

Visitors from all over the world are visiting the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. The most visited place, during the hot summer days, is the pre-historical underground labyrinth “Ravne”. Tens of thousands of tourists already have come and were impressed by the multi-ton ceramic sculptures and huge network of the underground tunnels.
PENANG, 1 July: Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Global Archaeological Research Centre (PPAG) is currently assisting the Government of Bosnia & Herzegovina through the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation to excavate what is believed to be the largest pyramid in the world.
A team of eight experts in archaeology from Malaysia are digging carefully and studying the archaeological probe located at the foot on the northern side of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. The team of experts, composed of archaeologists and geologists, is led by Dr. Stephen Chia.

Ecospirituality Foundation from Italy, which is NGO inconsultative status with UN, asked for the protection of the important archaeological sites with pyramids in Europe: those in Italy and France.Special request was made for the newly discovered pyramids in Bosnia which surpass with its size all other pyramids in the world.
