ImageAmerican anthropologist and archaeologist professor Ezra Zubrow (http://www.yorku.ca/drpi/ZubrowBio.html) visited the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids on June 12th, 2010. He toured the pre-historical underground labyrinth in Visoko, archaeological probes on Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon. His host was dr.sci. Sam Semir Osmanagich (www.samosmanagich.com), principal investigator and discoverer of the Bosnian pyramids. After meeting with the scientific team consisted of archaeologists and geologists from Hungary, Croatia, Malaysia, United Kingdom and Bosnia-Herzegovina professor Zubrow was interwieved by local TV station from Visoko.

“My name is Ezra Zubrow. I’m the professor of the anthropology at the University of Buffalo in New York and at the University of Toronto in Canada; I’m also the Yip fellow at the University of Cambridge in United Kingdom. I’m the archaeologist.

I’m very pleased and privileged to be here and to have a chance to look at the archaeological sites of the pyramids and also at the tunnels. I’ve done a considerable work in the pyramids of Meso America. I presently do work in northern Canada, northern Finland and northern Russia. Obviously, I’m not an expert on the pyramids of Bosnia. However, I do bring an international perspective to the research which is being done here. It would be my very strong opinion that research that has been done here should be allowed to be continued in its most unfettered form.

The only way that one would actually be able to tell exactly when these pyramids were built, by whom these pyramids were built, and whether or not are there relationship between the tunnels and pyramids is by doing scientific research.

Some people do believe this is not built in one time, others believe that this is built at one time. The only way to actually determine this is to do a full scale research and to do it in the eyes of international community. I have every faith, after what I have seen, that my colleague here is doing exactly that. He’s providing an opportunity for international research in the full vision of the world.

Finally, I believe that the heritage of Bosnia will be augmented whatever is actually discovered scientifically at this particular site. And with the coming of internationally known heritage it will also be good for the local economy.  Finally, thank you very much for the opportunity to both see this beautiful archaeological site and to visit the local community.”

Professor Zubrow also met with the number of volunteers who came to the International Summer Camp to help the archeological dig this year.
