“Archaeological park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation has detected and registered stone spheres at twenty different locations in Bosnia in a period 2005-2012. Together with the Zavidovici Municipality, Foundation has established “Archaeological park: Bosnian Stone Spheres” in 2006 only 2 kilometers from the town of Zavidovici.
Scientific analysis have been performed at the Institute for Materials of University of Zenica (Bosnia) and it’s been concluded that these stone balls were poured in molds and artificially made. Remnants of total of 18 stone balls are still in the area of “Duboki Potok” near Zavidovici.
Other locations in Bosnia do have shaped stone balls made from granite and volcanic stones.
Participants of the second shift of International Summer Camp for Volunteers visited the site on June 24th. Discoverer of the Bosnian Pyramids dr.sc. Sam Osmanagich explained the nature and purpose of these pre-historical artifacts.
