There is always something new in the prehistorical Underground Labyrinth Ravne. One of the teams of the “Archaeological park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation is working on the cleaning of one of the closed tunnels. The pebbles which was used as the filling is removed manually and transported outside with the wheelbarrow.
The particular tunnel was closed by the drywall. After the removal of the drywall stones, we’ve moved on throwing the uncompressed material out. In 7 days of work and several meters cleared, the height of the tunnel increased from the original 1,5 meters to 2 meters. As the tunnel continues, we could see that it isn’t filled all the way to the top and that there is an empty space of about 30 cm between the ceiling and the filling.
The gap indicates that the tunnel branches up on at least two new ones and that the surface of the Crossway is big. Most probably, this is a discovery of another room. It would be a sixth room discovered in the prehistorical Underground Labyrinth Ravne.
Because of the large surface, the future cleaning will be performed with caution and the second team will place the safety wooden support in the newly discovered sections. These sections will be open to the public very soon.
