“Archaeological-Touristic Park Ravne 2” became richer with an another installation. The workers of the “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation have installed on March 13, 2017, seven concrete spheres in the second valley of the Park. This is a creation of a mini park, which alerts the visitors on the phenomenon of the stone spheres around the world.
In other words, curiously old stone spheres are found in Costa Rica, Mexico, Easter Islands, New Zealand, Russia, Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Albania, Croatia, Serbia… They consist of different materials: volcanic, granite, sandstone, limestone…
The Foundation has been researching this phenomenon for 12 years on the Bosnian grounds. Until now, the stone spheres are registered on 20 locations all around Bosnia, from Zavidovići, Gračanica, Žepče, Vareš, Kakanj, to Teočak, Banja Luka, Velike Kladuša, Zenica, Konjic and other towns.
The bilingual posters with photos are placed at the mini park, therefore, the visitors will be able to educate themselves about this phenomenon. Five spheres are placed in the pentagram shape, which symbolically represents a human (head, arms, legs), but as well as the physical and spiritual world (four elements of the creation – water, air, earth, fire, plus spiritual dimension). Two stones are placed in the creek, what symbolizes their location in the vicinity of the water and energetically potent spots.
The spheres at the Park “Ravne 2” are made of cast concrete and weight 2.200 kg. It was necessary to use the modern technology for the transport and installment, the truck and the excavator. How have the ancient builders shaped the spherical globes and transferred them, with a reminder that the largest stone sphere on the world weights 37 tons and it is discovered near Zavidovići, remains unexplained.
The donors for this installation at the Park are Czech Doctors Peter and Slavka Hajduk, the owners of the “Aura Medical Clinic” from Prague.
