Multi-million audience of the popular science channel “Discovery” around the world will have the opportunity to see the program about Bosnian pyramids again. Despite the resistance of the conservative archaeological profession, the interest of the world’s media for the discovery of the largest and oldest world pyramids does not decrease.
Members of the Spanish production company “Volcano Production”, headed by David Barigga, visited Visoko from 5th to 7th of August 2017. The six-member team made a very detailed recording of archaeological probes on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon. Accompanied by a Bosnian pyramid discoverer dr. Sam Osmanagich, they visited the Belvedere sites, the Foundation Museum and the Prehistoric Underground Labyrinth of Ravne.
The producers have created a scenario in which they make comparison between the largest, by the surface, the Mexican pyramid Cholula in the state of Puebla and the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun in Visoko. Both pyramids are covered with deposits of soil and vegetation, and both have a network of underground tunnels.
By accepting cooperation with the channel “Discovery”, the Foundation “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” again positively promotes Bosnia and Herzegovina and the discovery of the first European pyramids. This will be the second time that the Bosnian pyramids are presented on this TV channel. Documentaries about the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids were already presented by other world’s largest scientific-documentary televisions: “History Channel”, “Science Channel” and “National Geographic” (twice).
