The visual identity of the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids is being promoted daily by the team of the Foundation “Archeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun”. In cooperation with the owner of the parcel Šećerović Nedžad “Buco”, at the foot of the pyramid the Foundation set up two mega-billboards, five meters long. They show an aerial view of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and photographs of archaeological probes on the north side. The motives convincingly demonstrate the correct geometry of pyramid covered with soil and vegetation deposits and the enthusiasm of volunteers from around the world who take part in excavations.
Experts from the cantonal Institute for Health and Food Safety came to the locations of the Ravne complex. They took water samples with ten different locations (from the Ravne tunnel, in the outside locations near the entrance into the tunnels and from the park “Ravne 2”). The Foundation regularly performs sampling and analysis of water from various sources and informs the public and tourists in a timely manner.
The installed concrete support walls below the entrance to the Ravne tunnels have already proved to be an excellent investment by the Municipality of Visoko and the Foundation for safe leaving of the gravel material that is being thrown out of the tunnel. The construction of the embankment is in progress, and this long-term solution will also enable the gradual expansion of the parking space.
Facilities and installations in the park “Ravne 2” are regularly used. Apart from the attractive magnitude meditation platforms, playgrounds for kids and botanical contents, guests also enjoy the new installation of “Enlightenment Machine” consisting of copper pyramids, and at the location of balls that are replicas of stone balls, a prehistoric phenomenon that is found around the world.
Among many guests this summer was a group from far-off Mexico led by well-known TV reporter Daniel Munoz Tovar from the Mexican state of Morelos. He met with dr. Osmanagich at the conference in the state of Ojelos in 2016 and promised to come to Visoko. He fulfilled his promise, and after visiting the locations where the Foundation is engaged, he announced a re-arrival with an even bigger group of people for the summer solstice in June 2018.
Visoko was also visited by former MRAV volunteers from 2012. Dominicus and Thea from the Dutch city of Groningen. They lead the therapeutic high school “Lightwave”. Inspired by the progress of the works and the formation of the park “Ravne 2”, they decided to bring a group of their students in summer of 2018 for a seven-day seminar.
Director of the Foundation Dr. Sam Osmanagich had a meeting with the President of the Council of the Municipality of Stari Grad dr. Jusuf Pušina in Sarajevo. A visit of two leaders of this Sarajevo municipality to the Foundation was agreed for mid-September.
