Even if Spain is famous as the tourist destination, especially the summer months during which millions of tourists from the entire world visit it, much Spanish decides to spend their vacations actively and nowhere else but in Bosnia-Herzegovina, in Visoko, working as the volunteers in the project on the discovery of the first European pyramids. Mother and daughter, Elena and Alejandra Peres are visiting our country for the second time, and this year as the part of the “Expedition to the Bosnian Pyramids with volunteering”.
– Three years ago, I saw a documentary in which Dr. Osmanagich was explaining the phenomenon of the Bosnian Pyramids and I decided to come here with my daughter and be a part of this project. Back then, my daughter was 15 years old and we liked it so much that we decided to come back this year as volunteers. It is true that I’m coming from the world’s tourist oasis and maybe it’s weird, but here we like the atmosphere, staying with the volunteers, we like the work here, the country is beautiful and we like to be able to spend the time in a place not packed up with the tourist, where we can relax and feel the location and the beautiful land with the heart. – Elena said.
At the end, we were interested if she has heard about our country before her first stay. Elena said that the only contact with Bosnia-Herzegovina she had was the news about the war which came to Spain.
– After the first visit, I remained amazed by the beauty of this country, with rivers, the mountains and nature. I didn’t know a lot about your country and what I have seen and visited by now has really amazed me. – Elena Peres said at the end and confirmed once again that slowly but certainly the positive stories about your country, as the pyramid story, are pushing the war thematic in the other way, for which we were known in the world.
