Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina — 27 August 2025. The Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation is proud to announce that Park ‘Ravne 2’ has been shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious Park World Excellence Awards 2025 (PWEA)—the leading industry accolade for the Europe and Middle East (EMEA) region. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 24 September 2025 in Barcelona, at the Renaissance Barcelona Fira hotel.

“This is a great recognition for our Park—an oasis of archaeology, tourism, sports, art, true history, ecology and education. We do not charge admission, and all our events—festivals, workshops, sports activities, book promotions and art exhibitions—are free,” said Dr. Sam Osmanagich, founder of the Foundation that manages Park ‘Ravne 2’. “Many finalists are globally known parks with large corporate or state budgets. Our model is deliberately different—focused on positive energy, volunteerism, non-commercialism and harmony with nature.”

Park ‘Ravne 2’ is a finalist in the Best Green Initiative category. While other finalists emphasize costly solar panels that cannot be safely recycled, Park ‘Ravne 2’ underscores an ecological, nature-first philosophy—planting tens of thousands of flowers, ornamental shrubs, fruit trees available to visitors, and both deciduous and coniferous trees.
This year’s finals also include some of the world’s largest parks and destinations from multiple countries, for example:
