Bridging Boundaries International welcomes world-recognized archaeologist, Dr.
Semir Sam Osmanagich to Virginia. He will lecture on his discoveries of the first
pyramids in Europe. Although challenged by some of his fellow archaeologists/
scientists, Osmanagich continues to move forward with his controversial research.
Osmanagich claims, as the oldest manmade structures, the Bosnian Valley of the
Pyramids along with its concrete, stone blocks and primitive inscriptions, have
proven to be over twelve thousand years old.
Osmanagich and his team are currently working to unearth passageways
throughout the Bosnian “Pyramid of the Sun” and labyrinths within the “Pyramid
of the Moon” based on his initial findings in 2005. The Bosnian Valley of the
Pyramids in Visoko, Bosnia-Herzegovina (near Sarajevo) is a grouping of five of the
largest stone structures crafted by man. Connected by an ancient underground
network and deliberately oriented to the cardinal points, these historic
monuments have been drawing scientists, anthropologists and tourists alike.
Arguably the most influential aspect of this new discovery is its positive effect on
the local Bosnian community. Volunteers from all cultural backgrounds are
working together to unearth the secrets of their common history. Many of
Osmanagich’s critics, however, believe these structures were actually created by
shifting tectonic plates and the earth’s natural movement over centuries.
However, an overwhelming degree of support has materialized as tourists and
volunteers swarm the area. Journalists spanning the globe have reported on the
affect that Osmanagich’s research continues to have on local history as well as
deeper understanding of our world. Osmanagich’s discoveries may be changing
world history as we know it. As part of his worldwide tour of twelve countries,
Osmanagich is visiting Virginia to conduct a series of lectures emphasizing his
latest research, the most recent findings of his non-profit foundation
“Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun”, and his new book, “Pyramids
around the World.”
