SARAJEVO, August 27th (FENA) – About 50 international scientists have gathered today in Sarajevo at the First International Scientific Conference on the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids (ICBP).
A three-time doctorate, Dr. Nabil Mohammed Swelim, the President of ICBP, opened the conference and stated that such an event would only contribute to understanding of the pyramidal elevations in Visoko Valley and to pyramid science itself.
-"I expect us to get scientific recognition from around the world," Dr. Swelim stated and also delivered a message to all opponents:
-"These are the pyramids and this conference has been organized to prove this fact. Those who oppose this project are probably not familiar or informed well about the pyramids."
The founder of the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation and the Co-Chairman of the ICBP conference, Semir Osmanagić, stated that the question about believing or not believing in Visoko’s pyramids was not an issue.
He said the right question would be the relation of natural forces and human intervention and to what extent human activities took place in shaping the pyramids. According to Osmanagić, this conference should help resolving such issues.
-"We are standing on the long road ahead of us and will face many difficulties and the opponents but we’ll continue to work hard. Further discoveries will bring more exciting events and tourists" Osmanagić told reporters.
He also suggested that such conferences are going to be held every two years and is currently working on the initiative of founding the Global Center for Pyramid Studies in Sarajevo.
Deputy President of B&H Federation, Mrs. Spomenka Micic and several other high-ranking government officials were also present at the opening of the conference and addressed the audience, publicly giving their support to the Foundation’s research project of the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids.
