The first turn of this year „Expedition of Bosnian Pyramids by volunteering“ is slowly ending the operations in Visoko, also by visiting the important landmarks of our country. How important is the project in Visoko for our country, testifies the story of a young Australian, Jacob Woning. He’s heard about our country for the first time, through a project on the discovery of the first European pyramids, and not about the war and horrors as we are used to.
– Researching the ancient civilisations on the Internet I’ve learned about the project, but also about the expeditions. I saw all the material and all of it made me curious, so I decided to join this historical project. –said Jacob, who we met in the Tunnels Ravne doing his part of the task for the volunteers.
However, because of the great distance, it took him three years to make a definite decision and visit Bosnia-Herzegovina and Visoko.
– For a long time, I was impeded by the distance, so this year I decided definitely to come and I can admit I don’t regret it. I haven’t heard about your country until I found out the first European pyramids. I was a bit confused while departing at the airport by the name and location, so all the time I was thinking that I was going to Bolivia – Jacob said.
Nevertheless, after the arrival, volunteering and the tour around the natural beauties of our country, he says he’s amazed.
– I’m very enthusiastic about the project, you can see the great job that is being done and everyone is giving their maximum. I’m very happy to be a part of it. In terms of Bosnia-Herzegovina, it is a hidden jewel in Europe, a beautiful country and most definitely, after this visit, I will come back to this amazing country. – said a young man, Jacob Woning, who came to our land from the faraway Australia.
