Ravne 4 tunnels: Groundbreaking discovery with the photo galery
November 5th, 2019 is a day of another great discovery in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. While working in the park ‘Ravne 2’ employees of the ‘Archaelogical park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’ Foundation has discovered potential entrance to underground tunnels.
Foundation’s director Dr. Sam Osmanagich has formed team for the first prospection: field archaeologist Amna Agić, field geologist Richrd Hoyle, technician Evelina Cehajić, volunteer supervisor Marie-Sophie Gristie and field supervisor Mustafa Bajić.
At 9:15 a.m. team has entered into unknown through very small opening between river conglomerate rock and soil. The width of entrance was about 40 cm, just enough to slip in.
Journey in the prehistorical tunnels lasted for two hours. Several energy mesurements have been done. Team has been exploring sections which haven’t been visited by humans for thousnds of years. Many side tunnels closed with the drywalls and filler materials have been found. No doubt, these tunnels belonged to the same underground tunnel network consisting of Ravne tunnels, ravne 2 tunnels, Healing tunnels and Ravne 3 tunnels. New underground apssageways, just 300 meters to the south from the entrance to the ‘Ravne 3’ tunnels were named ‘Ravne 4’ tunnels.
