On Thursday, 30th August 2018, Mr. Miralem Galijašević, Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and Ms. Amra Babić, Mayor of the Visoko Municipality, with the members of their staff, as well as Mr. Mirza Ganić, Member of the Federation Parliament, and Mr. Kemal Mušinbegović, Member of the Zenica-Doboj Cantonal Assembly, both from Visoko, visited the „Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun“ Foundation.
The reason for this visit was the Public Invitation for Funding Tourism and Tourist Projects, issued by the ZDC Ministry of Economy, which, according to Prime Minister Galijašević, should very soon result in approval of the funding for road infrastructure in the area of Ravne.
– The Municipality of Visoko invested 300,000 KM in the infrastructure on this route over the past two years, additional 100,000 KM are in implementation this year for continuing works, while the Federation Government approved 100,000 KM to build a bypass road and a pedestrian zone. If the funding from the canton is also approved, it would bring the total of investment in this area to about one million KM, which should result in adequate infrastructure and satisfactory conditions for all tourists who visit these sites, Mayor Babić noted.
Dr. Sam Osmanagich, Director of the Foundation, highlighted the excellent cooperation to date, both with the Visoko Municipality and the ZDC Government, as well as with the other levels of government. He also explained to the visitors the purpose of the Foundation’s investments to date, and the benefits that these investments, and the resulting influx of tourists, bring to Visoko, to the Zenica-Doboj Canton, but also to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.
