In order to provide better service to the tourists, volunteers and researchers, at the moment, the extensive works are performed on the construction of the access road to the new Information Desk of the “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation in Visoko.
After the purchase of the land in the foothill of the north side of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and installation of the house which will serve as the Info Desk, the Foundation’s team started with the expansion of the narrow, steep and inappropriate road. In the past few days this road was broadened and flattened, and the access to the parcel of the Foundation will be comfortable enough for the cars and tourist minibus. Now, those guests, which weren’t able to visit the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun because of the steep road will have the easier and closer access to the archaeological probes.
Two excavators, two trucks and eleven Foundation workers were employed for the earthworks. A tampon material is placed on the expanded road and the Foundation has arranged another road leading to the local households for free.
The Foundation has constructed a supporting wall on its own parcel for the better road stability, before the forecasted weather worsening and the first autumn snow. The poles are built into the supporting wall for the flags of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Municipality of Visoko, Foundation and MRAV to fly.
