This evening we enjoyed listening to wisdom od Socrates and his defense against accusations he faced because of his disobedience to the State as well as his alleged disbelief in Greek deities and false teachings to youth. Socrates’ bold stand against those accusations showed the lack of justice in the juristical system and society’s eagerness to blame and condemn those who speak of truth and morality. Because he was guided by justice and “voice” of moral he has been sentenced to death, some 1400 years ago. Fortunately, Park “Ravne 2” in Visoko has its “Time machine” which brought us back to ancient Greece where we were witnesses to the defense of the first known ancient philosopher and founder of this noble, but often unenviable, field of study. Thanks to Šerif Aljic for his brilliant performance and for reminding us to follow the voice of righteousness even if we are standing against all odds.
