Team of the Foundation ‘Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’ discovered the tunnels ‘Ravne 3’ below the settlement of Dubrava, Visoko Municipality in August 2018. There was a small outer hole through which animals entered before excavation started.
When discovering the east-west tunneling route, which lay at a length of 65 meters, during the first prospectations, a number of smaller bones were found. In February 2019, the Foundation’s field archaeologist Amna Agic sorted the bones according to the location of the invention and submitted them for analysis to the employees of the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Sarajevo.
In the report of graduated veterinarian Kadir Imamovic, we learned which animals lived in the tunnels ‘Ravne 3’. The presence of a fox, a badger, a wild cat, a forest hedge and a poultry has been established. It was not possible to determine the origin of ruminant / carnivorous for several bones.
