The end of the first shift of this year’s “Expedition to the Bosnian Pyramids with Volunteering” is approaching. This project is very successfully implemented by the Archeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation several years in row and brings hundreds of volunteers from all over the world to Visoko each year. The first group for this year had its last working day on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun this Monday (June 11th).
– The first group of participants of the Expedition is slowly driving off their stay in Visoko and our country, and through socializing and working in the past few days, I learned that they are very satisfied with what they managed to see and experience in the Visoko and other parts of Bosnia and Hercegovina. In the first shift, we had volunteers from Norway, Spain, France, Finland, Germany, Slovenia, Thailand and the US, and Colombia, said one of the coordinators Tarik Karamehic.
This shift worked mostly on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, continuing last year job, on new probes of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun.
– We worked on the cleaning, but also the expansion of probe number six on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and we spent several working days here. In addition to the works on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, the group had the opportunity to visit some other sights and cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so the impressions are really great and I hope that this year’s expedition will be like its beginning – in good mood and successful – Tarik Karamehic told us.
