The public, participants, exhibitors and visitors are informed that the Foundation ‘Archeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’ is canceling the traditional Summeer Solstice Festival and Fair on the occasion of the beginning of summer, which was to be held from June 18-21, 2020.
The reason for the cancellation is the existence of a state of emergency and / or state of natural disaster in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the surrounding countries (Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia) Western Europian countries and the USA, as well as a ban on gathering and traveling between countries, all because of the corona flu virus.
We recall that last summer, 2019, the Solstice Festival attracted thousands of visitors from 35 countries.
This year’s participation in the Festival was confirmed by well-known musicians from the region: Goran Karan, Severina, Goca Trzan, Danijela Martinovic and Tijana Dapcevic, and with them fifteen other groups and solo performers from Austria, Germany, USA, Switzerland, Slovenia, BiH, Serbia and Hungary. In addition to music concerts, other activities were envisaged such as lectures, workshops, yoga sessions, meditations, a fair of organic food producers, etc. A concert of the popular arias of the Macedonian tenor Mihajlo Arsenski was specially prepared to mark the opening of the installation ‘Vremeplov’, which was to take place on June 21st, 2020.
In addition, stand-up comedies and performances by our famous comedians Milan Pavlovic and Darko Ostojic-Ogi (‘Minka’) are canceled.
Unfortunately, all these facilities have been canceled for this year and this will represent an additional blow to all tourism workers from Visoko and the Foundation’s team, as well as the whole of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
