NEGATIVE ION CONCENTRATIONS ON MOUNTIAIN BJELAŠNICA AND IGMAN, CITY OF SARAJEVO AND VISOKO AND RAVNE TUNNELS

Benefits of negative ions have been proven in recent decades. These are tiny, negatively charged atoms or molecules, which have excess electrons. It is reliably known to clean the atmosphere of pollen, dust, fungi, smoke from cigarettes and other pollutants in the air. When they get into the body, they clean it from viruses and bacteria. In the bloodstream, negative ions cause a biochemical reaction that releases serotonin, thereby improving mood, relieves stress and increases the level of energy in the human body.

The Foundation ‘Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’ has proven, by systematic measurements in the prehistoric Underground labyrinth of Ravne, that the concentration of negative ions is significantly higher than at any location in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is one of the key elements for the regeneration process that occurs during the visit to Ravne tunnels.

Negative ion concentrations were measured for the first time in the Ravne tunnels in 2010. At the time, the level was 18,400 negative ions per cubic centimeter in the first discovered chamber. Due to this fact this room is called the ‘Healing chamber’.

The Foundation team performed measurements of negative and positive ions with two instruments of the ‘Air Ion Counter’, the American manufacturer Alpha Lab, at five locations during January 2019. The following average values were recorded:

– Sarajevo: 200 ni / ccm

– Visoko: 250 ni / ccm

– Igman: 500 ni / ccm

– Bjelašnica: 750 ni / ccm

– In front of the entrance to the Ravne tunnels: 250 ni / ccm

– Ravne tunnels (a dozen internal locations): 10.000 – 35.000 ni / ccm

These results show a huge difference in air quality at all outdoor locations, including Mount Igman and Bjelašnica, compared to the mysterious underground complex below the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. Negative ion concentrations in tunnels Ravne are fifty times higher than on the “healthiest” mountains of Igman and Bjelašnica.

Instead of ‘let’s go to the mountains’, the new refrain is ‘let’s go to Ravne tunnels’.
