The most beautiful European park has become richer for another novelty. Namely, during August and September 2024, the existing wooden benches on the western stands of both tennis courts were replaced by plastic chairs with backrests.
The wooden easels lasted three seasons (2022-2024). However, exposure to different weather conditions (sunny and cold weather, rain, wind, sun) led to cracking of the benches. Given that the Foundation ‘Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’ and its company ‘Bosnian Pyramids, Inc.’ insist on respecting the highest standards in the park and at all archaeological sites, it was logical to find a better solution.
The plastic chairs were purchased in the region and installed during September. Previously, the old paint was removed from the stands and they were coated with new green paint. Blue chairs were placed on the western stand of the main stadium. Their total number is 650, which with the southern tribune and 200 chairs and the eastern tribune with benches for 1,000 visitors gives almost 2,000 seats for spectators.
350 red chairs were placed on the clay court. Along with the south stand with 100 chairs and the east stand with 150 seats and the clay court, there are about 600 seats.
Future tennis tournaments, individual matches and preparations of top tennis players will be able to be watched from much more comfortable chairs with backrests.
