The sixth turn of the „Expedition to the Bosnian Pyramids with volunteering“ is halfway through with their stay in Visoko and our country, and also this time, like in all other turns the group has people coming from almost every European country, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia, as well as from the United States of America.
– The sixth turn is here since last week. On Friday we had a chill out in Tunnels Ravne, where we worked and helped to the Foundation employees, the weekend was reserved for the visiting the stone spheres in Zavidovići and the Bijambare, and this week we are working on the north side of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun at the newly opened probe no.6. The probe’s dimensions are 7×7 meters and it was opened by the members of HUESE last week. This is one of the biggest probes, we are doing the hardest part of the job and that is to remove the layers and hummus and I have to say that all volunteers are very committed to the task. The operations are very well-organized and we are working 20 meters outside the zone of the Old Town Visoko and 400 meters down the town itself. We’ll be working during the entire week on this probe and we are hoping to excavate the probe successfully in the dimensions and a half a meter deep. Later in September, when the next turn of volunteers arrives and continue working and reach the concrete blocks. – The Foundation Volunteer Coordinator Ajdin Ahmetspahić explained and added that this group in Visoko stays until Saturday when they leave our country, and followed with by a regular short break, and while the new, seventh turn is expected to arrive at Visoko in the first week of September.
