The eight and the final shift of the “Expedition to Bosnian Pyramids with volunteering” of this year is currently staying in Visoko and in our country. As it was the case with the previous visits of the other shifts, this time as well, we’ve decided to visit the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun where the volunteers from the entire world are operating and to talk to the Foundation Volunteer Coordinator Ajdin Ahmetspahić to find out all important information about the last shift of this year’s Expedition.
– Here we have the eight, the final group of this year’s Expedition, and it counts more than 30 participants from Spain, America, Norway, Italy, England, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany. Last week we worked in the Tunnels Ravne on the corridor clearing, and at the same time, they got familiar with the project. I must admit that all of them are amazed, as with the project, but also with our country and people. During the weekend we’ve visited Boračko Lake and several other locations and for two days we are working on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun at the probe No. 6. We’ve managed to reach the concrete blocks, which are expanding, and now we are disposing of the humus and the layers of the clay which is up to 2 meters deep. We will work for two more days, on Friday we are going to Zavidovići to see the stone spheres and later we are returning for the Autumn Equinox Festival at the Park “Ravne 2”. This will at the same time be the farewell to this group and the end of the this year’s Expedition, which was excellent if I may say, we had great results and I hope that in the next year we will have even more participants. – Ahmetspahić said.
