For the first time in Bosnia-Herzegovina
On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, representatives of the Municipality of Visoko, the Municipal Museum of Visoko and the ‘Archeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’ Foundation signed the Agreement on Partnership Co-operation and Mutual Coordination in the Field of Tourism Development on the Territory of the Municipality of Visoko.
The Agreement was signed by the Mayor of Visoko Mr.Sc. Amra Babić, Director of the Municipal Museum of Visoko Mr.Sc. Elvedin Šabanović and director of the Foundation dr. Sam Osmanagić. The signing of the Agreement was attended by Assistant Mayor of Local Economic Development Emir Fejzović, Assistant Mayor of Urban Planning Niđara Hadžiomerović and Head of Department for Economy Suada Koljenović. All employees of the Municipal Museum were present in the large hall of the Municipality, as well as Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors Ahmed Bosnić, member of the Board of Directors Slobodan Stajić, Program Director of the ‘Ravne 2’ Park Azra Ohran and the senior Foundation’s guide Haris Delibašić.
The Agreement executes the Tourism Development Strategy of Visoko for the period 2016-2024. with a set of activities on which these organizations will work. It should be noted that this is the first time in the Bosnia-Herzegovina to have such an agreement signed between representatives of the state, public and civil sectors in the field of tourism.
Another important document was signed at this meeting, as well. Namely, after the Board of Directors of the Municipal Museum and the Foundation approved the text, the directors of these two institutions signed a Cooperation Agreement between Visoko Museum and the Foundation ‘Archeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun’. In this way, the cooperation of these two organizations is being renewed in the field of archaeological research, but also adds cooperation in the field of tourism and presentation of cultural heritage sites in the area of the municipality.
These documents crown two-year efforts to develop strategic documents in the field of tourism in Visoko and their implementation. The agreements are valid for the period 2018-2020.
