The weekend behind us in the most beautiful park in Europe, the "Ravne 2" park, was marked by the opening of another interesting installation, and this time it is a pavilion dedicated to the legendary musician John Lennon. The opening ceremony was held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, symbolically on the International Day of Peace.
– On this important date, International Day of Peace, September 21 we opened a pavilion dedicated to John Lennon, and who better symbolizes peace than Lennon. Our gathering today is not actually dedicated to Lennon, but to us, normal and well-intentioned people who don't need much to live happily. We need peace, the ability to work, to love and be loved. John lived only four decades, became one of the most popular singer of the 20th century and founded the most popular group of the 20th century 'The Beatles'. In 1979, towards the end of his career in the Beatles, he wrote the song 'Give Peace A Chance', dedicated to world peace, and two years later he wrote 'Imagine', imagining a world without borders, a world without discrimination, in which it doesn't matter what race, color, nation or religion you are, imagine a happy world. As much as his music was needed then, that message is still relevant today, 55 years later. It's time to really stop with what corresponds to the monsters who call themselves elites, it's time for real peace to reign in our hearts. - said Dr. Sam Osmanagich at the opening of this pavilion.
The opening was magnified by numerous guests from all over the world, who joined the ceremony, but also together, with songs, sent the most beautiful possible messages to the world from the heart of Bosnia - messages of peace, love, tolerance...
