In agreement with the Municipality Visoko, the “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation started with the construction of the Souvenir Shop Alley in the vicinity of the entrance to the prehistoric Underground Labyrinth Ravne. The present souvenir shops will be relocated by the beginning of the main season, from the unsuitable and unarranged area, more to the south next to the existing asphalted road.
Having the Municipal Decision in regard, to close this road section for traffic, the Foundation eagerly entered this infrastructural project. It considers subsidizing of significant financial means by the Foundation, but in long-term, it will contribute to better and finer service for the tourists.
Next to the road at the Municipal parcel, the Foundation’s team has broadened the flat area, leveled the terrain, dug the canals and laid down the drainage concrete pipes, free of charge. At the same time, existing clogged pipes were cleaned and the water drainage tranches were covered with earth.
Currently, the area where the uniformed little houses will be located is being prepared for pouring concrete. After that, electric cables will be laid down to provide the electricity for houses.
The wooden houses will be 4 meters long and 2 meters high. All of them will have the same roof, two-faces, covered with green shingle. One side will be removable two-meter high doors, and on the other side, there will be a window transforming when opened. The total length of the shelves inside and outside is 38 meters.
The Municipality will sign the Contract on Parcel Leasing for the period of five years. The Foundation will be the owner of little houses and it will contract the lease with the interested small craft enterprises and companies that fulfill the requirements. Consummation of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited in this location, as well as the sale of food and beverages. These activities are provided at the Municipal Parking in the vicinity of Žuta greda.
The Souvenir Shop Alley should provide to domestic and foreign guests with the products of traditional craftwork, souvenirs, homemade honey products, copper items, organic tea and similar products. The authorized Municipal services and the Foundation will agree upon the content of sale. The reservation of the locations for the present season is scheduled from April to May.
