Director of the Foundation "Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun" Dr. Sam Osmanagić visited the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OK BiH) in Sarajevo, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. On that occasion, he spoke with the President of OK BIH Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, Secretary General of the OK BiH Dr. Said Fazlagić and Director of the Tennis Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina Senad Hadžimešić.

Osmanagić presented to the hosts the progress in the organization of two top sports events in Visoko from two Olympic sports, tennis and 3x3 basketball. The foundation, through its company ‘Bosanske piramide d.o.o.’, is financing the construction of a tennis stadium in the ‘Archaeological and Tourist Park Ravne 2’, and the opening ceremony is scheduled for July 13, 2022. Meetings of leading tennis players are expected.

The BiH Olympic Committee will take an active part in the event and have a permanent presence in future events at the stadium. The Tennis Association of BiH will use these courts as its Center for the preparation of top Bosnian tennis players and national teams. Also, the Association will provide the necessary staff such as chief and line judges, ball collectors and the like.

It has been agreed that young tennis players under the age of 12 will open this tennis spectacle on July 13 during the morning and afternoon matches of the national teams of Italy, BiH, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia. The main matches will be held in the late afternoon.

Representatives of the Olympic Committee also supported the holding of the second ‘NBA Star for Children without Parents’ tournament, which will be held the next day, July 14, 2022, at the basketball court in Aero Banja in the Ravne complex in Visoko.

And although these two umbrella organizations for sports and tennis cannot help the Foundation financially, they will still give them full legitimacy with their public support and presence, for these and future events. Members of the Presidency of these two organizations are expected to be present as guests at the Ravne complex.

During the photography session, it was shown the promotional film with aerial footage of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun.

This year's season of volunteering at the Bosnian Pyramids starts on June 6, 2022 and ends on October 22, 2022. The first 60 volunteers from 17 countries applied for an open invitation from the social media of the Foundation "Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun".

About 20 years ago, Peruvian archaeologist Ruth Shady Solis of the University of San Marcos revealed that the pyramid city of Caral was already a thriving metropolis at the time when the great pyramids were being built, thus predating all known pre-Columbian civilizations by millennia.

Caral is one of the many population centers of the now long-gone Norte Chico civilization that inhabited modern-day Peru. This civilization, as it appears, was not inferior to the ancient Egyptians. Among the grandeur structures of Caral, archaeologists have discovered pyramids, round squares, an amphitheater, numerous homes, and even an underground irrigation system.

It is no wonder why scientists often refer to Caral as one of the engineering marvels of the ancient world. The city was built to withstand powerful earthquakes that often occur in the seismic territory of Peru.

How did Caral remain hidden from our eyes until recent years? It was actually discovered in 1905 by German archaeologists but since all the structures we see today were hidden under hills and mounds, it did not draw the necessary attention. It took more than 60 years before it grabbed the attention of archaeologists and then another 20 before excavations began.
